Singapore’s first Merlion-shaped pineapple tarts – a tribute to our Lion City.
In celebration of SG60, Kele proudly introduces the Singapore Series — a collection honouring Singapore’s vibrant heritage and local icons.
At the heart of this collection is our Merlion Pineapple Tarts, beautifully handcrafted into the shape of the Merlion, Singapore’s national mascot. This mythical creature, with the head of a lion and body of a fish, reflects our city’s strength and resilience (lion) and its humble origins as a fishing village (fish), much like Kele’s own journey since 1983.
Each collectable metal tin (approximately 210g) features an exclusive illustration that pays homage to Singapore’s most beloved landmarks, including the Merlion and our Kele shophouse in Chinatown. Inside, you’ll find 6 artisanal pineapple tarts made with sweet, tangy pineapple filling encased in a golden, melt-in-the-mouth crust. Home-baked with pride in Singapore using imported flour and New Zealand butter, this vegetarian-friendly recipe contains no pork or lard.
